St. Mary's Catholic School will closely monitor all inclement weather conditions for the safety of our students, faculty, and families. We utilize Parent Alerts (texts), email, and postings on our website and social media to communicate changes to our regular school schedules.
In the event of severe weather that may close or delay the school, St. Mary's will often follow Taylor ISD's decisions. However, we will take into consideration our school's ability to operate safely, as well as conditions in the larger geographical area that we serve. St. Mary's families are asked to monitor weather conditions in their immediate area and make the best decision for their family when determining whether or not safe travel to school is possible.
Bus Service Parents of students who regularly ride the bus to school will be contacted by the Bus Coordinator in the event of a schedule change. If school is closed, our Bus Service will not operate.
School Closing During the School Day
If a condition necessitates closing the school once classes have started, the student’s parent or emergency contact persons will be informed by email and/or text alert and be requested to pick up the student from school.
